He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Owens and Kathleen Owens (Parrott); his daughter Erin; and his siblings, Joyce Weber and Mark Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca L. "Becky" Owens (Haas); his daughter Stacy Bishop (Jeff) of Massillon; his grandchildren, Zachary Bishop (Jen), Natalie Bishop, Amanda Ramey, Samantha Kennard (Seth) and Kaytee Ramey; and his brother Thomas Owens (Mary Helen) of Canal Fulton. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
The family has suggested memorial contributions made to the Humane Society of Stark County or the Stark County Sheriff's Office Dog Warden Division to ensure for the recovery, care, safe sheltering, and adoption of homeless or unwanted pets and promote responsible pet ownership.
