He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Smoley and Anna Smoley; his siblings, Nick, Ann, Tom, Andy and Dorothy; and his granddaughter Marissa Smoley.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Robert Smoley (Janie), Michael Smoley (Dawn) and Kimberly Donley (Jeff); his grandchildren, Bobby Smoley (Gina), Allie Adkins (Joey), Matthew Smoley (Darian), Taylor Smoley, Michael Smoley, Zak Smoley, Joe Donley (Jackie), Christopher Donley (Cecile) and Liz Donley; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Luca, Olivia, Joey, Mila, Kenzie and Ava. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schermesser Eberhardt Funeral Home (600 East Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, OH 44319). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).
