He was predeceased by: his parent James Richard "Jim"; and his grandparents, Everett Wright, Shirley Jenkins (Bud), Thomas McLaren and Katherine McLaren.
He is survived by: his close friend Lisa Stoller; his mother Ida; his children, Kiera Nikole Swinderman of Christian Thomas and Cade William Wright of Massillon; his siblings, Thomas Everett Wright of Louisville and Katherine Christina Hall (David) of Newcomerstown; his niece Kendall Ann Fisher of Newcomerstown; and his grandmother Alice Joyce Wright of Port Washington. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
