He was predeceased by: his wife Mary C. Whisner. He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Whisner-Wehrle (Rick) and Nicole Cheon (Brian); his grandchildren, Gabriella "Gabby" Wehrle, Drew Cheon, Eric Cheon and Trey Cheon; his great grandchild Carson Hannah; and his niece Rita Burkart.
