He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Dumford and Besse Dumford; and his sister Ida Mae Smith. He is survived by: his wife Faye Dumford; his children, Susan Jayne Gardner and Robert Wayne Dumford (Diana); his grandchildren, Sara Johnson (Scott), Codi Rahman (Razi), Anthony Gardner (Jennifer) and Andrew Gardner (Allison); and his great grandchildren, Alexa, Zoe, Jacoby, Aiden, Carson, Nori and Emir Robert.

Donations in honor and memory of Robert may be made to Heritage Presbyterian Church or The Mason Historical Society.
