He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Jr. Kaupu and Thelma Kaupu; his siblings, Randall and Roberta; and his mother-in-law Marjorie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lau; his children, Randa Lynn, Reinette, Robert, Richard, Roxanne, Ryan, Logan, Miriam and Hiram; and his siblings, Suki (Sandy), Bull (Donna), Butchie (Joy), Renell (Greg), Rochelle (Harold) and Radford. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
