He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Gill and Mildred Gill (Graul). He is survived by: his wife Marlene A. Gill (Martin) of Mason, Ohio; his daughter Michelle DeRae Leeson (Eric) of Mason, Ohio; his siblings, James Gill (Dianna) of Albany, Indiana and Norma Faye Gentry (William) of Solana Beach, California; his half-sister Judy McKinley (Kent) of Gaston, Indiana; his grandchildren, Evan Leeson (Allison), Gwen HoltLeeson (Alex), Austin Leeson and Emily Leeson; and his great grandchildren, Daniel and Andrew Leeson.

Ray also served on the Board of Adams County Community Foundation in Decatur, IN.
