He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Melton (Hopkins); his daughter Danielle Hopkins; and his father Lawrence "Bobby" Melton. He is survived by: his child Cristen Melton; his grandchildren, Daniel Moore, Quinlee Pritchard, Abrielle Melton and Evan Melton; his mother Georgia Boggs; and his brother David Melton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
