He is survived by: his wife Julie Studer; his children, Eimee Donbar (John) and John Studer III (Lauren); his grandchildren, Jackson, Cate, Ruby Donbar, Grace and Tory Studer; and his siblings, Thomas Studer (Sharon), Roger Studer (Alice), Kenneth Studer (Mary Ann), Shirley Ann Wellik (Frank) and Harry Studer (Cheryl). He is also survived by brother and friend to his five brothers and two sisters and sister-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Michael J Fox foundation.
