He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Yvonne Painter; his sons, Jeff Painter (Elaine) and Eric Painter; his parents, John Harry and Edith Painter; and his siblings, Philip Painter, Keith Painter, Stephen Painter, Joyce Hornbach and Ruth Thomas.
He is survived by: his daughter Joni Miller (Reed); his grandchildren, Brian Painter (Christina), Renee Painter, Hannah Painter, Emma Miller, Sarah Painter and Matthew Painter; and his great grandchildren, Juliana Painter, Olivia Painter, Alexander Painter and Leila Painter. He is also survived by many friends, his extended family.
