She was predeceased by: her parents, Rodney Heck and Julia Heck. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Burkardt; her children, Jeni Renneker (Mark) and Jim Burkardt (Maureen); her grandchildren, Hannah, Jake, Nate and Ivy; and her siblings, Rodney Heck (Brenda), Mark Heck (Sally) and Jeri Schroeder (Ron). She is also survived by relatives and friends.
