It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alinda Bates of Mason, Ohio, born in Chillicothe, Ohio, who passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nikolaus John and Dora Frances Wenzel (Wilson); her husband William T. Bates; and her brother-in-law Gary Hazelwood. She is survived by: her children, William Bates (Jan Montarsi) of Milford, OH, Dana Bates of Mason, OH and Melea McKenney (Steve) of Travelers Rest, SC; her granddaughters, Lindsey, Kelly, Emily and Gabrielle; her great grandchildren, Henry, Violet and Farah; her siblings, Nik Wenzel (Martha) of Chillicothe and Shirley Hazelwood of Phoenix, AZ.; and her pet Oliver.
