He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Nicol McCarthy; and his brother James Russell "Jimmy" McCarthy. He is survived by: his father William R. McCarthy of Marysville; his children, Andrew R. McCarthy (Edgar Lenin) of Houston, Texas and Kathryn "Kayti" Chung (Jonathan) of Las Vegas, Nevada; his granddaughters, Julia Ruth and Mackenzie Grace Chung; his siblings, Sue Chongson of Marysville, Tom McCarthy (Amy) of Marysville and Mary Sampsel (Kevin) of Marysville; and his nieces and nephews, Ian, Christine, Ross, Mike, Megan, Matthew, Emily and Patrick. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
