He is survived by: his wife Nanciann Asman Sawyer; his children, James "Jimmy" Sawyer (Jody) of Marysville, Carrie Lynn Bryan (Don) of Springfield and Sherrie Yoakam (Eric) of Marysville; his stepchildren, Lori Ann Rausch (Bruce), Robert "Andy" Buker and Molly Lynn Keating (Chris); his grandchildren, Aaron Sawyer, Alyssa Sawyer, Phillip Taulbee (Jessica), Jessica McCreight (Jeremy), Regan Yoakam and Jarod Yoakam; his stepgrandchildren, Nicholas Rausch (Katie), Tara (Jared) of Maine, Brice Rausch (Kristi), Rhiannon Heeg (Joey), Tylar (Shawn) and Clay Keating; and his sister Mary Lynn Sawyer of Columbus. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
