We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2022, at the age of 89, Sherman John Jacob Nicol (Marysville, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Nicol and Edna M. Nicol (Gruenbaum); his son Wayne Nicol; and his brother-in-law David Hockemeyer. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Lee Scherzer; his son Dean Nicol (Kristi) of Delaware; his grandsons, Evan Nicol (Lindsey) of Gahanna, John Jacob Nicol (Paige) of Westerville, Jordan Nicol (Julia) of Delaware and Mason Nicol of Columbus; his great grandchildren, Sloane, Reece and Hayley Nicol; his stepson Larry G. Felty of Middleburg; his stepgrandsons, Arthur G. Felty of Delaware, Alec W. Felty (Jordan) of New Carlisle, Andrew K. Felty (Jessica) of Marysville, Alexander G. of Delaware and Lincoln G. of Marysville; his sister Janice Hockmeyer of Monroeville; his nephews, Brian (Rhonda) and Jason; his cousin Rodney Nicol (Cheryl) of Plain City; and also, Alan G. and Larry A. of Las Vegas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Growing Roots campaign in care of the funeral home.
