He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Dooley and Zelda Dooley (Hayes); his siblings, David, Eugene, Fred, Donald and Darlene Smith (Joe); his nephews, Wolfgang Courths, Devin Combs, Carl Runyan Jr. and Blake Gorton; and his niece Jessica Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Monell "Nell" (Combs); his sisters-in-law, Rosella Dooley and Sue Dooley; his sister Phyllis; his brother-in-law Leonard Daum; and his special canine Daisy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
