He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Combs and Bertha Combs (Johnson); his daughter Brenda Norris; and his siblings, Merilee Sims, Chester, Jr., Kenny and Wesley Combs.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Combs (Erwin); his daughters, Roberta Moore of Marysville, Kathy Carter (Josh) of LaRue and Pam Miller (Jerry) of LaRue; his grandchildren, Robert Drumm (Kimberly), Christopher Drumm (Ashlee), Erica Haubiel (Terry), Jerry Miller, Jacob Combs, James Combs, Travis Rice, Dalton Norris and Lacey Irwin (Shawn); and his siblings, Betty, Donna Jean, Juanita, Cecil, Curt, John and Donald. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Union County Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
