He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Harper and Marjorie Harper Sr. (Martin); and his sister Gloria Jean Edrington (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Joyce E. "Joy" Harper (Potts); his children, Jennifer Jo "Jen" Harper and Richard "Rich" Harper Jr. (Jamie); his grandchildren, Kennedy Hobbs and Richard "Tripp" Harper III; and his siblings, Robert A. "Bob" Harper Jr. (Leona), Raymond Anthony Harper (Debbie), Marjorie Elaine Wilcox (Bill) and Anita Christine Mitchell (Gregory).
