He was predeceased by: his siblings, Harold "Sparky" Blumenschein and Dorothy Nicol; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Nicol and Ralph Nicol. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca A. Beale (Duane), Richard F. and Raymond T. Blumenschein; his grandson Cody Alan Beale of Marysville; and his sister Emma Nicol of Milford Center. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Hour or the Loving Care Hospice in care of the funeral home.
