She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Thomas and Cecile Scott Thomas; her husband James "Jim" E. Payne; and her siblings, Edison Thomas, Louise Ewing Sheares and Robert Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Payne (Kathy) of Plain City and Debbie Payne of Lexington, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Kori Fenner (Nick), Kent Payne (Elizabeth), Kirk Payne (Natalie) and Kylie Payne (Taylor Godwin); and her great grandchildren, Reese, Peyton, Emily, Everett, Landon, Evelyn, Blake, Kale and Jett.
