He was predeceased by: his son Brian Hurley; his brothers, Tim Hurley and Bob Hurley; and his parents, Halbert Clyde and Frances Jewel Brown Hurley.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Hurley of Gaylesville; his son Jerry Hurley Jr. (Diedra) of Marysville; his siblings, Charles Hurley of Centre, Becky Moses of Ft. Payne and Tina McGraw (Raymond) of Gaylesville; his grandsons, Austin Hurley and Dylan Allman; and his great grandchild Oliver James Allman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
