She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Kirk and Agnes Worsfold Kirk; her husband John A. Long; and her sisters, Opal DeGryse and Ruth Renner.

She is survived by: her children, Tim Long (Donna) of Ostrander, Mark Long (Anita) of Verona, Debbie Long of Worthington and Chris Ungar (Ed) of Ostrander; her grandchildren, Travis Long, Jessica Gbur (Terry), Dustin Brown (Lyndsey) and Abigail Warner (Joe); her stepmother Liz Kirk; her half-brother Glenn Kirk; her sisters-in-law, Lillian Long, June Sykes, Jane Long, Bonnie Long, Marilyn Long, Patricia Houston and Susan Henderson; and her niece Loretta Norlander. She is also survived by five step grand-children; eight great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University or to the Union County Humane Society.
