He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Hoskins Fizer; his parents, Tophal Nelson and Sesco Nelson; his brothers, Tommy Fizer, John Nelson, Randall Nelson and Michael Nelson; his stepsons, William Joy and Randy Joy; and his granddaughter Kimberly Hogsett.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Betty Loudermilk of Byhalia and Margie Joy of Marysville; his stepgrandchildren, Kerry Hogle, Kimberly Hogle, Wendy Bolenbaugh (Richard), Christine Sammons (Jeremy), Janet Beckley (Daniel), Donna Wolford, Davey Loudermilk (Jennifer), Bruce Loudermilk (Jessica), Charles Hill (Kandy), Randy Hill, Jonathan Elias, Billy Joy, Annie Joy, Michelle Vassar, Jojeania Lindsey and Kate Morris; and his siblings, Sonya, Crystal, Mark and David.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Underwood Funeral Home (703 E 5th St, Marysville, OH 43040). The military honors was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Oakdale Cemetery (1290 W 5th St, Marysville, OH 43040).
