He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edgar and Alma Maxine Purnell (Gillispie); and his brother Larry Purnell. He is survived by: his wife Sharon R. Purnell of Marysville; his children, Brenda C. Devorak of Ventura, CA, Michelle K. Ricketts, James "Jimmy" M. Purnell of Ventura, CA and Shannon Tauchert (Kurt) of Hawaii; his sister Kimberly Ricketts (Mark) of Ventura, CA; his sister-in-law Cindy Purnell of Camarillo, CA; his nephew Brad Purnell (Heidi) of Dublin, OH; and also Bill Greenrock (Yvonne). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
