He was predeceased by: his father Wayne Arthur McLaughlin; and his wives, Debra K. Myers McLaughlin and Barbara Mershon McLaughlin. He is survived by: his mother Mary Seaman McLaughlin of Marysville; his children, Craig McLaughlin (Brandie) of Marysville, Kristen McLaughlin of Grand Rapids and Clint McLaughlin of Marysville; and his siblings, Sandra Wood (Norman) of Pennsylvania and Ronald McLaughlin (Sherri) of Newark. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
