He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest A. and Mary E. McFarlin (Burton); his wife Darlene Sue McFarlin (McMillen); his daughter Melissa Penhorwood; and his siblings, Marjorie Johnson, John and Edward McFarlin.
He is survived by: his daughter Laura Roth (Bill) of McArthur; his son-in-law Kurt Penhorwood (Jenny) of Zanesfield; his grandchildren, Brock Penhorwood (Kaitlyn), Bryden Penhorwood (Stanleigh), Mataya Reinhard (Garrett), Karlie Penhorwood, Logan Roth, Nathalie Higgins (Isaiah) and Katie Thompson; his great grandchildren, Obadiah and Zebedee Penhorwood; and his sister Kathy Williams (Dennis) of Quincy. He is also survived by numerous nieces nephews.
