He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Dotson and Bernice Dotson (Bailey); his siblings, Earnie Dotson, Elmo "Bo" Dotson, Edmund "Ted" Dotson, Gene Dotson, Edsel Dotson and Midge Frey; and his half-sisters, Edythe Prater, Essie Legg and Ellaree Stettler.
He is survived by: his children, Jody Rettig (Daniel) of Byhalia and Brody Dotson of Maryville; his granddaughter Kassidy Rettig; his siblings, Ethel "Mae" Weydert, Elaine Mohler, Larry Dotson (Barb), Alva Dotson (Elaine), Gary Dotson (Regina) and Robert Dotson (Louisa); and his in-law Patsy Dotson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home (201 S Franklin St, Richwood, OH 43344). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
