He was predeceased by: his parents, Drew Adams and Earlie Thompson Adams; his wife Betty Louise Montgomery Adams; his siblings, Margery Hicks, Donald Adams, Nora Moore and Dorothy Marine; and his granddaughter Michelle Jeanette Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Anna Louise Jones (Michael) of Florida, Rev. Terry L. Adams (Gail) of Ostrander and Carol Jean Beckley (Rick) of Richwood; his grandchildren, Bobbie Hooper (Rob), Allison Manley (Jeff), Douglas Adams, Janet Taylor (Scott), Thomas Beckley (Connie) and LeRoy Beckley (Jody); and his fathers-in-law, George Montgomery (Pam) of Garrettsville and Larry Montgomery (Gladys) of Marion. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
