He was predeceased by: his child Commodore; his parents, Commodore and Blanche Butler McGinnis Sr.; and his daughter Marlayna McGinnis. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne McGinnis (Johnson); and his sons, Albon C. McGinnis of Columbus, Scott C. McGinnis (Leesa) of Rock Hampton, Queensland and Marc C. McGinnis of Westerville, Ohio. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Poverty Law Center or The Piney Woods School in care of Ingram Funeral Home who is completing arrangements.
