He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Margaret Shutts; and his parents, Harold A. Shutts and Ruth Doane Shutts. He is survived by: his children, Becky Shutts Brinkmeier (Dana) of Rockford, Barbara Shutts of Martinsville, Ohio and Fred Shutts (Deborah); his brothers, Vernon Shutts (Ruth) of Florida, Warren Shutts of Clarksville and Malcolm Shutts (Kathy) of Waynesville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Linda Shutts, Craig Shutts (Amanda), Danielle Rode (Nick), Joshua Brinkmeier (Andrea Sallee) and Corianne Klumpyan (Kevin); his stepgrandsons, Michael Fox (Jessica), Matthew Fox (Bradley Staton) and Marcus Fox; his great grandchildren, Dylan Shutts, Kyleigh Shutts, Leland Shutts and Haven Klumpyan; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Austin Fox, Mara Fox, Brant Fox and Joseph Fox; and his sister Ellen Locke. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
