He was predeceased by: his parents, James Swearengen and Mildred Swearengen; his son Chad; and his sister Mary Ellen Ceasar. He is survived by: his wife Carol Greiner Hanson of Martins Ferry; his sons, Scott Hanson (Lorrie) of Martins Ferry and Todd Hanson (Lisa) of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua (Kelcey), Jared, Cassie and Jeremy; and his great grandchildren, Nova, Ryleigh and Indyanna.
