He is survived by: his children, Aimee DeVaul (Matt) of Martins Ferry and Justin DeVaul (Brittney) of Martins Ferry; his siblings, John DeVaul (Melissa) of Bridgeport, Chuck DeVaul of Rayland and Dianna Kolb (Bob) of Harrisburg, PA; his grandchildren, Gaige Brautigam and Lilliana DeVaul (Rose Barton); and his close friend Greg Gildow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
