He is survived by: his wife Barbara E. Birmelin (Edwards); his children, Tracy Pearson (Wendy Overly) of Martins Ferry, OH, Lois Hess of Mansfield, OH and Michael Birmelin (Yvonne) of Temecula, CA; his grandsons, Keith Akam (Tiffany Lynn) of Vermilion, OH and Andrew Birmelin of Temecula, CA; and his great grandchildren, Haley, Dean and Kinleigh.
