He was predeceased by: his son Maurice Jordan; and his sisters, Annette Fitzhugh-Carter and Glenda Watts-Heath. He is survived by: his sons, James D. Watts Jr. and Chase Watts; his siblings, Eugene Rainbow (Debra), Michael Roby, Gloria Jean Gracie (Ed), Terry Lynn Watts and Brenda Lee Owens (Fred); his grandchildren, Mia Jordan, Malik Jordan, Kenya Jordan, Marquez Jordan, Daelaun Roseberry, A'rayah Watts and James Watts III; and his great grandchildren, Maleah Jordan and Landon Jordan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
