He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles M. Jackson and Betty Lou Jackson (Richards); his sisters, Edith Mullins and Marcella "Marti" Mellott; his sister-in-law Peggy Jackson; and his niece Betty N Jackson.

He is survived by: his husband Matthew J. Jackson; his children, Jack Jackson and Tania Woodland; his grandson Deyjean "Day Day" Woodland; and his siblings, Dianna McGraw (James) of Steubenville, OH, John Jackson of Wheeling, WV, David Shepherd of Wheeling, WV and Charles Jackson (Cindy) of Calcutta, OH.
