He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank D. McCardle and Esther McCardle (Amos); his former wives, Nila McCardle (Barker) and Shirley McCardle (Barker); his children, Brenda, Faye and Kenny; his children-in-law, Harriet, Jeanie McCardle and Daniel E. Case; his granddaughter Azlyn Denise Case; and his siblings, Ray McCardle and Mildred Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lee McCardle (Preston) of Martins Ferry; and his children, Frank McCardle of Wheeling, Denny McCardle of Wheeling, Shirley Jo Case of St. Clairsville, Dan McCardle (Cindy) of Hilliard, Annette Zanes of Martins Ferry and Robert McCardle of Adena. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, and 10 great-grandchildren.
