He was predeceased by: his parents, Griffith Hackworth and Evelyn Hall (Butler); his son Matthew Shane Bell; and his sister Ruth Ann McCall (Earl). He is survived by: his children, Christopher Hackworth, Kyle Hackworth, Ciara Spradlin (James) and Lucas Hackworth; his stepchildren, Maegan Wages (Jake) and William Rives (Kimberly); his former wife Marian Beatrice; and his brother Roger Lucas (Theresa). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
