He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cloninger and Ethel Cloninger (Goldsmith); and his son-in-law Mike Spaulding. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Howard; his children, Michael Cloninger (Joanie), Sharon Chase (Dave), Brandi Mattingly and Cindi Hanssen (Remi); his brother Ken Cloninger (Doris); his grandchildren, Kyle Wood (Krystle), Michael Noel, Gregory Mattingly (Cassidy), Ethan Hanssen (Madison) and Erik Hanssen; and his great grandchildren, Koryn Reale, Kynslee, Kayden, Kailyn Wood and Leila Mattingly.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Boyd Funeral Home (122 W Columbia St, Marion, OH 43302). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Marion Humane Society.
