He was predeceased by: his siblings, Mary Rita McGlew (James), Dan (Roseanne), Frank, Bob and Jackie.
He is survived by: his parents, Frank V. Murphy and Marguerite Kirchner Murphy; his wife Shirley; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Murphy (Bob) of Nokomis. He is also survived by 29 nieces and nephews.
