He was predeceased by: his parents, George Chalfant and Irene Fristick Chalfant; and his sisters, Donna Newbrough, Carol and Barbara Chalfant.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his children, Jeff Chalfant (Daniella) of Grand Island, NY and Heather Robinson (Scott) of Vincent; his stepdaughter Melissa Fisher (Tim) of Waterford; his granddaughters, Victoria, Alexa Lewis, Sophia and Savannah Chalfant; his brother Paul Chalfant (Barb) of Marietta; his nieces and nephews, Michael Rowley, Carol May, Jeremy, Matthew, Amanda Chalfant and Stephanie Rowley; his great-nephew Tyler Rowley; and also Vance Vetanze.
