He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Strahler and Juanita Anderson Strahler; and his siblings, Agnes Lauer, Carl and Larry Strahler.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Dye; his children, Stephan Strahler of Marietta and Sherry Strahler of Marietta; his grandchildren, Ali Barnhart (Tyler), Kali Strahler (Ryan) and Jakob Lahaie; his great grandchildren, Penelope, Ethan, Aubrey and Abbie; and his brothers, Paul and Roger Strahler.
