He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Shinn and Ella Shinn (Palmer); and his grandson Grant Bauer. He is survived by: his daughter Mary Ella Bauer (Bill) of Marietta; his granddaughter Madison Ryser (Andrew) of Augusta, Georgia; his great grandchild Jack Ryser; and his brother Clark Vanest (Viola) of Columbus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
