He was predeceased by: his parents, Sibbele John and Akke Brouwer Boersma; his former wife Dorothy Mary Lemke Boersma; his daughter Peggy Hadley; his son-in-law Nadi Elsibai; his siblings, Joseph Boersma and Patra Torsell; and his stepson Tony Weber.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Weber Boersma; his children, Robert Boersma (Phyllis), James Boersma (Kathy), Susan Carder (Douglas), Deborah Elsibai and John Boersma (Michele); and his stepchildren, Cecilia Eversman (Bill), Mary Summers (Jeff), Joe Weber (Brandi), Mike Weber, Neva Kern (Mike) and Beth Brooker (Jake). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many extended family.
