He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wagner and Hilda Louise Steed Wagner; his wife Marilyn Spindler Wagner; and his son Parnell Wagner. He is survived by: his children, Iesa McVay (Doug), Pacos David Wagner (Jean), Paul Dean Wagner and Jeremy Wade Wagner; and his stepsons, Ronald Duff (Karen) and Craig Duff (Angela). He is also survived by 32 grandchildren.
