It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mona Jean Abele of Marietta, Ohio, who passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Denzil Downing and Vernice Downing of Zanesville, OH.; her in-laws, Louis and Kathleen Abele; her siblings-in-law, Louis Abele and Joann Downing; and her son-in-law Paul Leiter.
She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Ann, Rick (Lauren) and Adam (Jeannine); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Nicole Manz (Brad), Kathleen Schisler (Matt), Eric Stoltz (Anne) and Alexa Abele; and her brothers, Jack Downing (Gwen) and David Downing (Lori Clark). She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
