He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Shearon and Vannie Hanlin Shearon; and his wife Carole Lee Shearon. He is survived by: his children, John Shearon (Katie) and Lori Bever (James); his grandchildren, Eric Bever (Bree), Kirsten, Jenna and Hailey Shearon; his great grandchildren, Carson and Gianna Bever; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Davis and Mary Coburn.
