With solemn reverence, we commemorate Hester Lucinda Erb McCain (Marietta, Ohio), whose life came to an end on January 1, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father David; her siblings, Virgil, William, Herbert, Pearl, David, James, Gary, Mary Lou Erb, Jeanette Neville, Bonita Williams and Carrie Hallett; and her son-in-law Gary Boggs.
She is survived by: her husband Dean McCain; her children, Kenneth, Dale (Karen), Kathleen Finley-Boggs and Deana Barnes (James); her son-in-law David Finley; her grandchildren, Andrea Davis (Mitch), Lisa Michael (Zach), Missy Hibbard (Bob), Amanda Herron (Steve), Jamey Barnes (Jill), Tiffany Roe (Dan), Alishia Barnes, Justin Barnes (Stormy) and Clinton Barnes; her great great grandchildren, Haylen, Avery, Felicity, Jaxson and Jayce; and also, Ruth Morris (Bradley), Ronald Erb (Yvonne), Dale Erb (Paula), Imogene Tidd and John Erb (Barbara). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM. A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Rake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Amedisys Hospice, in honor of Hester's memory and her compassionate, loving heart.
