He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Goodwin and Effie Johnson Goodwin; his son Jerry Goodwin, Jr.; and his siblings, Paul, Larry Goodwin and Maxine Schneeberger.

He is survived by: his daughter Crystal Campbell of Marietta; his grandchildren, Heather Goodwin, Andy Pickens, Justin Wolfe and Hannah Campbell; his great grandchildren, Haiden Bowman and Kingston Wolfe; and his siblings, Phil Goodwin and Arlene Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
