She was predeceased by: her husband Dick F. Young; her parents, Raymond Tornes and Blanch Lang Tornes; and her siblings, Jean Weinheimer (Lawrence), Harold Tornes and Tony Tornes.
She is survived by: her daughter Dr. Betty Young of Nelsonville; her granddaughter Shoshanna Brooker (Jeff); her great grandchild Lakyn Brooker; and her sister Ruth Morgan (Leroy) of Florida. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home (408 Front St, Marietta, OH 45750). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (17784 OH-676, Marietta, OH 45750). A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Warren Chapel Cemetery.
