She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Brannon and Irene Brannon; her siblings, Kenneth Brannon and Delores Williams; and her siblings-in-law, Donna Brannon, Larry Greenlief, Tom West and Ray Bumgarner.
She is survived by: her husband Robert L. Bumgarner; her grandchildren, Caroline Elyse Bumgarner and William Steven Bumgarner of Winston-Salem; her siblings, John Brannon (Linda) of Normantown, WV, Joe Brannon (Izetta) of Cedarville, WV and Mary Greenlief of Weston, WV; her siblings-in-law, Sharon Brannon of Cedarville, WV, Sally West of South Charleston, WV, Mary Jane Bumgarner of Howard, OH and Roger Williams of South Point, OH; her caregivers, Amanda, Maria, Kayla, Natalie, Rebecca, Debbie and Natasha; and her friends, Judy Wince and Susan Strauss. She is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Bob & Dora Jean Bumgarner Scholarship Fund at the Marietta Community Foundation, to a local Hospice provider or the American Cancer Society (as Dora Jean remained a lifetime cancer survivor for 37 years).
